A Night of Inspiration: Video Producer Jasmine Nastasi Shares Her Secrets to Success

AltCap and The Art Incubator co-hosted an energizing edition of their SECRETS TO SUCCESS series, spotlighting Jasmine Nastasi, a Kansas City-based video producer and founder of Stellar Image Studios.

Known for her creative vision and entrepreneurial drive, Nastasi offered an honest look into the realities of running a media business.

The evening kicked off with networking, handcrafted bites from Graze & Gather KC, and local brews from Vine Street Brewing Co. Attendees included a mix of artists, entrepreneurs, and community builders like Lauren Conaway of InnovateHER KC, artist and Civic Saint founder Godfrey Riddle, and designer Sarah Schumacher of Cyclone Press.

While the event was originally planned for The Art Incubator’s scenic outdoor terrace in Midtown Kansas City, a surprise rainstorm led to a quick pivot. A special thank you to Good Karma Coffee, hosted inside The Black Pantry, and owner Brian Roberts, for graciously opening his space to us.

After opening remarks from The Art Incubator co-founders James Spikes and Taylor Burris Spikes, Nastasi shared insights into the strategies and key financial decisions that helped her grow Stellar Image Studios. Moderated by AltCap intern Manasa Sakthivel, conversation topics ranged from pricing strategy and planning for big-ticket equipment purchases to navigating client relationships and staff retention. Nastasi’s candidness about mentorship, leadership, and the realities of scaling a creative company left attendees motivated and inspired.
